SCAR REVISION
A scar is more than just a mark; it’s a story of healing that got "stuck." Our Scar Revision treatments use a combination of Medical Needling and Clinical Peels to re-initiate the body’s natural repair mechanisms. We don't just "cover" scars—we remodel the tissue from within.
-
Medical Needling (CIT): By creating controlled micro-channels, we break down old, fibrous scar tissue and trigger a fresh surge of Type III Collagen and Elastin.
-
Corrective Chemical Peels: Specialised peels designed to resurface the skin texture and address post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
What We Treat: Surgical scars, acne scarring, and intentional or accidental trauma. Our goal is to improve texture, flexibility, and colour integration so your skin feels like yours again.
The Process
We start with a thorough assessment of the scar tissue (flat, raised, or indented). We then alternate between Medical Needling, which breaks up fibrous tissue to trigger collagen, and Clinical Peels, which refine the surface texture and colour. This is "Guided Healing" at its most advanced level.
Expectations & Healing
-
Immediate: The area will be red and may feel like a mild sunburn for 24-48 hours.
-
Day 3-7: Subtle "micro-peeling" or dryness as the old tissue begins to shed.
-
The Long Game: Collagen remodelling takes time. You will see the most significant texture improvements between weeks 4 and 12. Multiple sessions (3-6) are typically recommended for deep or full revision.
Many scars are linked to considerable emotional and physical trauma. Please know that all clients are met with the highest level of respect, gentle care and full confidentiality.
